Rhyolite Screenings

Rhyolite is a fine grained igneous rock mined from the Arbuckle Mountains. It is considered the extrusive equivalent (formed above ground) to the intrusive (formed below ground) granite rock, and consequently bears a resemblance. A volcanic rock that dates back 525 million years to the Cambrian-era, this stone is dark in color, black when wet and dark grey when dry. Commonly used as a dust free cover on driveways and walking paths.
